Shipping

To calculate shipping, please place desired items in your chosen size in the online store cart (click on SHOP ONLINE box on first page of website).  Add your shipping address and the site will give you a shipping quote.  You do not need to have an account to calculate shipping, but it will save you time the next time you want to place an order.

If you are unable to pick up in our Fort Benton, MT store, flat rate USPS boxes are the most economical way to ship products.  Only boxes less than 20# (two 10# bags of the products of you choice) can fit in the large flat rate box.  A single 10# bag may be ordered, but you are ahead per pound to order 2 bags.  Items over 20 pounds will automatically be shipped UPS and are sent based on weight.

We do all we can to get our high-quality products to you. We produce where the grain is grown and that is far from many population centers. Walking into our Fort Benton store is the cheapest way to pick up our products. The next cheapest option is to work with a local store to carry our products and then they can get them by the pallet or truckload. If you want to pursue these options please call 406-622-5436 or email info@montanaflour.com with your name, shipping address, Phone number, email and products you are interested in and quantities.
Our products are available in multiply paper bags. Most products come in 10#, 25# or 50# bags.

Flour

Our flour is made from Certified Organic Grains. They are processed in facilities that are certified organic in the cleaning, handling and packaging process.
No. We do not add anything to our flour. They stand alone in flavor and nutrition and are fun to work with and great to eat!

Grain

Our Organic White Flour, also known as Organic Unbleached White Flour or All Purpose Organic White Flour, is made from Organic Hard Red Spring Wheat. This flour is not enriched nor bleached. It is great for all purpose baking and is requested for sourdough uses.

KAMUT

We are the home of KAMUT products in the USA. We have whole grain (kernels), whole grain flour, cracked KAMUT (a great cereal or pilaf option) as well as Rolled KAMUT (similar to oatmeal, harder and tasty, but made from KAMUT).
KAMUT kernels are the grain or seed that is harvested.
Cracked KAMUT is the kernel broken up, retaining the nutritional value, but faster to cook and enjoy.
Whole Grain KAMUT flour is the entire seed ground into small flour particles. This retains the fiber, nutrition and flavor of KAMUT.
White flour has the bran and germ/endosperm removed from the kernel and dried before being ground into flour. This is easy to use but does not have the fiber and is missing some of the nutritional value.
Many recipes as well as nutritional info about KAMUT products are available at KAMUT.com

Please check our blog we also post some baking ideas as article posts.

Organic

All certified organic products are certified organic under the Montana Department of Agriculture and the National Organic Program. Although we do sell some commercial products, we keep them distinct and are inspected every year to ensure that we are meeting the organic standards for organic production and handling.

Gluten

No. We are not a gluten-free facility. We do carry spelt and KAMUT products that have ancient gluten that many people bother by modern wheats can tolerate and enjoy.
